The Adventure I Missed Out On…..
I was a last minute drop-out when the Navy moved up our date! A planned stay on the USS George HW Bush carrier to record sound was setup for_ AFTER_ TV-sweeps. This way I could take a few days and fly to either Norfolk or San Diego with my gear and then helicopter out to the ship. But the Navy doesn’t revolve around my schedule and the HW BUSH was near the coast a few weeks early. During TV sweeps I just can’t be miles away at sea holding mics under jets. So missing out on this one hurts, especially after seeing Forrest’s great trailer. My crazy co-horts did the kick-ass job they set out to do. I sent my gear to Forrest who used it on the trip. High praise to the US Navy, the guys said every person on board was highly trained and extremely professional. Forrest Martin put this terrific trailer together using the new iMovie 11.
Great job. Next time I’m there.

How you found it is amazing. Note the title “Hilarious” isn’t my description, it’s what this video is called on You Tube.
Here’s the Spoof – Does This Now Make Me a Cultural Icon?
I play a very small part every Sunday night in the NBC Sunday Night Football intro. Each week I’m the DJ that comes out of Faith Hill’s car-RADIO talking about the game. But it was COFFEE that came out of my NOSE when I saw the spoof on SNL. I think the guy doing my part has me down pretty well.
First a few seconds of the REAL Eagles-49′ers intro from last night:
And here’s a few seconds of the SNL spoof with Jane Lynch:
