Walking to the restaurant to meet our friends and watch the Game 7. Passed by a ton of people watching bar TV’s from the sidewalk. Any bar that allowed seeing a TV through an open wall or an open door attracted a crowd. People in cars screamed “Lakers!” I pointed the cam down to catch the stars:

Fort Worth, Texas rocks. I’ve been going to Dallas for jingle sessions since I was a teenager. I’ve had never wanted to go to Fort Worth. What a mistake. Our pal Mary Bess worked in downtown FW and there’s nothing like getting a night tour from a local….

We also caught up with Heidi Harris who had the coolest radio swag.
We spent a few hours this Sunday doing some urban hiking. Urban only in the technical sense as we were on a small island a stone’s throw from JFK airport, and a few short miles from Manhattan.
I met up with Phil Tower in NYC and learned what he’s working on with the Allen Hunt Show. Phil’s a first class guy who I’ve known forever. He programmed WOOD-AM for about a thousand years. [Update-Phil has returned to program WOOD AM-FM]
